Arduino software is needed to program Arduino boards and must be downloaded from the Arduino website and installed on a computer. This article shows how to download and install the Arduino IDE software and drivers on a Windows 10 computer. Go to the Arduino Software download page where you will find two downloads for Windows — Windows installer and Windows ZIP as shown in the image below.
You can choose either of the two Windows options, but I prefer to use the ZIP file because it keeps the Windows system cleaner.
